When the connection drops: warnings and reconnection

The number's connection can drop for reasons that happen outside SendFast: someone removed access at Meta, the app was reinstalled on the phone, Meta restricted the account. When that happens, sending stops, the WhatsApp Connection page shows the reason and the account owner receives an email. This article explains each warning and the way back.

How you find out

  • On the WhatsApp Connection page β€” the number's badge changes to Reauthentication required or Disconnected, and a banner explains the reason.
  • By email β€” the account owner gets a message that WhatsApp was disconnected, with the reason and how many campaigns were paused. When the connection comes back, another email says WhatsApp is working again.
  • In Campaigns β€” campaigns that were sending show as Paused, with the reason Reconnection required.

Each warning and what to do

Access removed

SendFast's access to the number was removed, either in Meta's Business Manager or in the WhatsApp Business app on the phone. This is what happens when someone disconnects the platform from the app itself. To send again, click Reconnect with Facebook.

WhatsApp registered on another device

This applies to numbers that are also in the WhatsApp Business app: the app was registered again (new phone, reinstall) and Meta suspended sending. Finish the registration on the device keeping the option to stay connected to partners checked β€” with it, the connection usually comes back on its own within a few minutes. If it does not, reconnect.

That is what happened to Camila when she changed phones: she reinstalled WhatsApp Business, kept the option checked and Loja Bem Viver's connection came back without her opening SendFast.

Account restricted by Meta

Meta restricted or disabled your WhatsApp Business account. The issue has to be solved on Meta's side, in WhatsApp Manager (Meta Business Suite). After that, reconnect.

Number deleted at Meta

The number was deregistered or deleted from the account at Meta. Reconnect choosing the number you want to use.

Connection expired

The authorization you gave SendFast was revoked or expired. It also shows when the Sync button or a campaign send finds the authorization refused. Reconnect to send again.

Reconnecting

In every case, the Reconnect with Facebook button opens the Meta window the same way as the original connection: if the number was connected as one that is also in the WhatsApp Business app, reconnection follows that same mode, without you choosing again. Only people with the Admin role see the page and can reconnect.

Your contacts, groups, templates and campaigns stay where they were.

Resuming campaigns

Paused campaigns do not resume on their own when the connection is back. That is on purpose: you decide whether that message still makes sense. After reconnecting:

  1. open Campaigns and filter by the Paused status;
  2. in each campaign's menu, click Resume.

Resuming is blocked while the number is not connected ("Reconnect the WhatsApp number before resuming.") or has Low quality. Contacts who already got the message do not get it again: the campaign continues where it stopped.

A scheduled campaign whose time arrives with the number disconnected is also Paused with the reason Reconnection required β€” resume it the same way.

Where to go next

  • Connect your WhatsApp number β€” the two connection paths and the number card.
  • Campaigns β€” statuses, pauses and how to resume.
  • Dashboard β€” the number's quality over time, in Number health.

In short: when the connection drops, the WhatsApp Connection page shows the reason, the owner gets an email and campaigns being sent are paused; fix the cause the warning points to, click Reconnect with Facebook and resume each paused campaign in Campaigns.
