The AI integration connects the assistant you already use, Claude or ChatGPT, to your WiseData Finances account. From then on, you ask questions and request entries right in the conversation: the AI reads balances and reports and, if you allow it, records, pays, imports statements and reconciles, following the same rules as the screen.
Where this saves the most time is closing the week. On Friday, you send the AI your PIX and bank slip receipts and the bank statement. It finds the entry each receipt settles, builds a table for you to check and only writes after you say ok.
Throughout this article we'll follow Marina. She owns Estúdio Aurora, a design studio, and also manages her personal finances in Finances. She wants to connect Claude to both accounts and start closing the week through the conversation.
Who can use it
- Plan: the integration is part of the Pro and Enterprise plans and is available during the trial. On Starter, the menu item shows a lock and the screen shows the View plans button. In a company, what counts is the plan of the company's owner.
- Who turns it on and off: the integration starts off in every account, and only the account owner can turn it on, turn it off and set the limit. Admins and members of a company see the status on the same screen, with a note to talk to the owner.
- Role in the company: the AI acts as you, with your role. A Viewer can connect, but the AI can only read: any write is refused, just as it would be on the screen. The same applies to any action your role doesn't allow.
- Account status: with the subscription blocked, the integration stops working until it's sorted out. In an archived company, the AI can only read.
- System: if the integration is turned off for the whole system, the MCP item disappears from the menu and the authorization screen shows AI integration unavailable. This doesn't depend on any setting of yours.
Step 1: turn on the integration in the account
The screen is the same in both accounts and always applies to the account you're in:
- Personal account: Settings › MCP, in the General group.
- Company: with the company open, Settings › MCP.
The page is called AI integration (MCP). In the first block, AI integration for this account, the owner finds:
- Allow AI apps to access this account: the main switch. When it's off, no team connection works.
- Integration limit: the most any connection in this account can do. Read only reads the data without creating, changing or deleting anything. Read and write also creates, changes and deletes data on your behalf.
Changes apply immediately, with no save button. Two of them ask for confirmation, because they cut access for people already connected:
- Turning it off: every AI app connected to the account loses access right away. The connections are kept and work again when you turn it back on.
- Limiting to read only: connections with write access become read only. If you raise the limit again later, write access doesn't come back on its own: you need to change the permission of each connection.
In her personal account and in Estúdio Aurora, Marina turns on the switch and picks Read and write.
Step 2: connect in Claude or ChatGPT
On the same page, the How to connect block shows the MCP server address, with the Copy address button. That's the address you paste into the AI app: it's how the app finds Finances. The steps are on the screen itself:
In Claude
- Open Settings → Connectors.
- Click Add custom connector and paste the address.
- Sign in with your Finances account and authorize access.
In ChatGPT
- Open Settings → Connectors, in developer mode.
- Create a connector and paste the address.
- Sign in with your Finances account and authorize access.
The authorization screen
In the third step, the AI app opens a Finances page, Connect Claude to your account (or ChatGPT). If you're not signed in, sign in first. There you decide three things:
- Account to connect: shown when you have more than one account, listing your personal account and each company, for example "Estúdio Aurora (Company)". The AI app only accesses the account chosen here.
- Access level: Read only or Read and write. If the owner limited the account to reading, only the first option appears, with a note that the limit was set by the owner.
- Allow access for Claude or Deny access for Claude. After you answer, you go back to the AI app.
To use the AI in another account too, connect again from the AI app and pick the other account on this screen. One connection doesn't turn off the other. Connecting the same app to the same account again only updates the access level. Marina connects Claude twice: once to Estúdio Aurora and once to her personal account.
Instead of the request, the screen may show one of these notices:
- Request expired: the request expired or was already used. Go back to the AI app and connect again.
- Accept the terms to continue: there's a new version of the Terms of Use or the Privacy Policy. After accepting, you return to the same request.
- Subscription blocked: the chosen account can't be connected. Sort it out under View subscription or choose another account.
- AI integration is turned off for this account: if you're the owner, you can turn it on right there, choosing the limit, with Turn on AI integration for this account. If you're not, ask the owner.
What the AI can read
With any access level, the AI reads the connected account. Reports use the same calculations as Wisebot, so the number it brings is the same you'd see in Finances.
- In both accounts: balances per account, credit cards and limit usage, expenses and income by category, monthly comparison, payables and receivables, cash flow and forecast, budget, goals, investments, transfers, suppliers and recent entries. The AI can also look up a specific record by name or period.
- Company only: income statement (summary, margins, period comparison and yearly view), break-even point, how long the cash lasts, working capital, indicators, invoices and overdue amounts, taxes, loans, payroll, NFS-e and the top customers and suppliers.
What the AI can record
Writing requires Read and write on the connection and on the account limit. What it can do:
- Expenses and income: create (single, recurring or in installments), edit, pay or receive one or several at once, reverse a payment, delete and change a recurrence.
- Statements: import the statement of an account or a card, from an OFX file or from the lines the AI read in a PDF, spreadsheet or screenshot.
- Accounts and transfers: create, edit, deactivate and reactivate accounts, pay and reopen a card statement, and record, edit, cancel and delete transfers.
- Records and planning: categories, suppliers, budgets, goals and contributions, investments and their transactions.
- Company only: taxes, loans and paid installments, invoices and their receipts, employees and payroll, the amounts you enter in the income statement (such as cost of goods sold and depreciation) and NFS-e (issue, cancel, pause and resume automations).
Everything goes through the same path as the screen: the same validations, the same accounting rules (the payment date moves the balance, the accrual date sets the month, a card purchase goes into the statement), the same permissions of your role and the same features of your plan. If the conversation drops and the app resends the same request, the entry isn't recorded twice.
A contract already in progress
Marina's car financing has 24 installments, and she has already paid 10. In her personal account, she asks Claude to record only what's left. The AI creates the 14 remaining installments with Starting installment set to 11, and Finances shows the contract numbering, from 11/24 to 24/24, without recording again what already left the balance. In a company, loans and financing have their own module, which separates interest from principal, and the AI can record them there too.
Preview and confirmation
Before any write, Finances tells the AI to show what it's going to record and wait for your ok. For three kinds of operation, this doesn't depend on the AI, because the system itself requires it:
- Deletions and cancellations: of expenses, income, recurrences, transfers, invoices, NFS-e and other records.
- Reversals: of a payment, of a receipt and reopening a card statement.
- Batch operations: paying several expenses, receiving several incomes and importing a statement.
In these cases, the first request returns only a preview, and nothing is recorded. The operation only happens when the AI comes back with your confirmation for exactly that operation. If anything changes along the way, a new preview is needed. A preview is valid for 10 minutes and can only be used once.
The preview exists because the AI can make mistakes reading a receipt: swap a digit in the amount, take the scheduling date instead of the payment date or mix up who was paid. That's where you check. Issuing an NFS-e deserves the same care: it goes to the city hall and can't be undone.
On Friday, Marina sends Claude five receipts and the PDF statement of Estúdio Aurora's account. The AI finds open entries for the coworking space at R$ 1,200.00, the accountant at R$ 650.00, internet at R$ 189.90 and a software license at R$ 275.00. The fifth receipt has no entry, and the AI proposes creating the expense already paid. Marina checks the table and approves. The four payments go out as one batch payment, with its own preview. For the statement, the preview shows 42 lines: 35 had already been imported and are skipped automatically, and 7 are new, each with a suggested action (expense, income, transfer or skip). She asks to skip one line she had already entered by hand and confirms.
Each import accepts up to 500 lines. Each batch payment takes up to 50 expenses or incomes. Above that, the AI splits the work into parts.
Security and privacy
Each connection sees one account only
The connection is tied to the account chosen during authorization. The AI has no way to request data from another of your accounts or from someone else's account. If in doubt, ask it which account it's connected to.
Viewing and disconnecting
On the AI integration (MCP) page, the My connections block lists the apps you connected. For the owner, the block is called Team connections and also shows the connections of other people in the account. The columns are Connection (the app name, marked as AI app or Personal token), Person (owner only), Permission, Last used and Connected on.
- In the Permission column, you switch between Read only and Read and write, up to the account limit.
- In the row's â‹® menu, Disconnect removes the app's access right away. To get it back, you need to connect again.
What drops connections on its own
- Changing or resetting your password, deactivating or deleting your account: all your connections drop, in every account.
- Deleting the company: the connections made in it drop.
- Leaving a company (or being removed from it): the connection to that company stops working.
Turning off the account switch, on the other hand, only pauses: the connections are kept.
Team activity
The owner sees the Team activity block, with the changes made by AI apps in the last 90 days. Each line says who did it, through which app, which action, how many items were affected, the kind of action (Write, Bulk or Destructive) and the date and time. Reads don't appear in this list, only what changed data.
Where your data goes
What the AI reads from your account and what you send in the conversation (receipts, statements) are then handled by the company behind the app you chose, under the terms you accepted with it. Connecting is your choice, account by account, and you can undo it at any time.
Personal token
The personal token is for people who use Claude Code or their own script, programs that don't open the authorization screen. The Create personal token button sits in the connections block and only appears when the integration is on in the account. You enter a Name (for example, "Claude Code on the laptop") and the Permission. The token is shown only once: copy it right away and keep it like a password. If you lose it, disconnect it and create another. It's valid for 90 days. In the How to connect block, the Claude Code section has the command ready to copy: just replace <token> with the token you created.
Common questions
The AI says it has no tool to record entries, or no tools at all
Write tools don't even show up for the AI when the connection or the account limit is Read only. With the integration off in the account, or outside the plan, almost nothing shows up. Check in Settings › MCP that the integration is on, that the limit is Read and write and that your connection is too. After changing it, open a new conversation so the AI app loads the updated list.
ChatGPT doesn't record, or asks for a confirmation that never appears
There are known cases in the ChatGPT Android app where reading works and writing gets stuck. Record entries using the web version.
The AI says the confirmation is invalid or expired
More than 10 minutes passed since the preview, or the request changed after it. Ask for a new preview and confirm again.
After importing the statement, the balance doesn't match the bank
The most common case is accrued interest and yield: many banks add overdraft interest, IOF or the day's yield to the balance, which only become a statement line days later. The difference is usually small and recurring. Other reasons are scheduled payments that haven't cleared yet and entries made by hand that match a statement line. The preview shows the statement balance, the current balance in Finances and the difference. You can wait for the line to show up or ask the AI to fix the balance with an adjustment entry.
The AI said "too many calls in a short time"
There's a limit of calls per minute on each connection. Just wait a few seconds and ask again.
The AI changed the wrong account
Each connection belongs to one account only. If the same app is connected to your personal account and to a company, check which connection is active in the conversation. To undo, use the AI itself (reversal, edit, deletion with preview) or the Finances screen.
How the integration connects to the rest of Finances
- Wisebot: it's the AI inside Finances, in the app and on WhatsApp, and it only reads. The AI integration is your outside AI, which reads and records. Both are unlocked by the same plan, and reads use the same calculations.
- Data import: statement import by the AI uses the same importer as Import OFX, so it recognizes and skips lines that came in through either path.
- Expenses, income and accounts: what the AI records shows up on the same screens and moves the same balances, as if you had entered it by hand.
- Income statement: the AI reads the company's income statement and records the amounts you enter in it.
- Users and permissions: each person's role in the company also applies to the AI they connected.
Where to go next
- Wisebot (AI assistant): questions about your finances inside the app and on WhatsApp.
- Data import: importing an OFX statement through the screen, line by line.
- Expenses and income: recurrence, installments and payment settlement, which the AI uses the same way.
- Multi-company, users and permissions: what each role can do in a company.
In short: the owner turns on the integration in Settings › MCP and sets the limit; you copy the address, connect Claude or ChatGPT, choose the account and access level, and the AI starts reading and recording under the screen's rules, with a mandatory preview for deletions, reversals and batches, and every connection visible and removable on the same page.
